The Fuji Q4 and Q5 Platinum turbines from Fuji's quiet Q series, sold on their own without a gun or hose. Use one to replace a worn turbine, step up from a 2 or 3-stage model, or set up a second spray station with the Fuji gun and hose you already own. The Q4 is a 4-stage turbine rated 61 dBA at 15 ft, Fuji's quietest. The Q5 is a 5-stage turbine with about 9.5 psi and a variable speed dial.

How to Set Up and Use
- Set it up. Place the turbine on a flat, clean surface away from your spray area, with the 5029 filter in place.
- Connect the hose. Attach your hose to the turbine and your gun to the hose. On the Q5, start the speed dial low.
- Strain and check. Strain the coating into the cup and check it with the #4 Ford cup. Thin only as the coating maker allows.
- Test on cardboard. Set the fan and fluid flow until the pattern is even.
- Spray. Hold the gun square to the surface and overlap each pass by about half.
- Keep it breathing. Clean the gun right after spraying, and check the 5029 filter often. A clogged filter makes the turbine run hot.

Does it come with a gun and hose?
Q4 or Q5: which should I choose?
The Q4 is Fuji's quietest turbine and handles lacquer, stain and most cabinet coatings. The Q5 adds a stage, about 9.5 psi and a variable speed dial for thicker paints and primers.
How quiet is it?
Fuji rates the Q4 at 61 dBA and the Q5 at 63 dBA from 15 ft. It puts a standard turbine at 79 dBA, and normal conversation at about 60 dBA.
Which guns work with it?
I'm upgrading from a 2 or 3-stage turbine. Do I need a new hose?
The 7055 heat hose is recommended when you step up to a 4 or 5-stage turbine, because the air runs hotter. Or switch to the 7073 Super Duty hose, which has 3 ft of heat-resistant hose built in.
Which filter does it use?
A single 5029 filter, the same on the Q4 and Q5. Check it often and replace it when it's dirty.
What warranty does it have?
