Compatibility

Fuji rates the 7049 for its 2, 3 and 4-stage turbines, such as the Mini-Mite 3 and 4 and the Q3 and Q4 Platinum. It is not recommended for 5 or 6-stage turbines: the Q5 Platinum ships with the 7088 Heavy Duty hose and the D6 with the 7073 Super Duty hose. Upgrading to a 4 or 5-stage turbine and keeping this hose? Fuji recommends adding the 7055 heat hose.

Which Fuji hose do I need?

Match the hose to your turbine. More stages mean hotter air, so 5 and 6-stage turbines need a heavier-duty hose.

FAQ

7049 hose questions, answered.

Which turbines does the 7049 fit?

Fuji rates the 7049 Hi-Flex hose for its 2, 3 and 4-stage turbines. It isn't recommended for 5 or 6-stage turbines, which run hotter. For those, use the 7088 Heavy Duty (Q5 Platinum) or the 7073 Super Duty (D6).

What's the difference between the 7049 and 9049?

Only the colour. The 7049 is blue and the 9049 is black. Both are 25 ft Hi-Flex hoses with a 2046 brass quick-connect and a 2032 air control valve.

Does it come with the quick-connect and air control valve?

Yes. The 2046 brass quick-connect coupling and 2032 air control valve are included, and both are sold separately if you need a spare.

What does the air control valve do?

It lets you reduce the air reaching the gun. Close it partway to cut overspray and bounce-back on small parts and inside corners.

Which hose does my Fuji turbine need?

For 2, 3 and 4-stage turbines, the 7049 or 9049 Hi-Flex. The Q5 Platinum ships with the 7088 Heavy Duty, and the D6 with the 7073 Super Duty, which fits every Fuji turbine. Stepping up to a 4 or 5-stage turbine and keeping your hose? Add the 7055 heat hose.
