FAQ
1How much paint do I need?
Each 3.79 L covers 400–450 sq ft per coat. A 12 × 12 ft bedroom with 8 ft ceilings has about 380 sq ft of wall, so two coats take about 2 gallons. Add a 946 mL for touch-ups or a small accent wall.
2Which finish should I choose?
Ulti-Matte for ceilings and low-traffic walls, Eggshell for most living spaces, Pearl for kitchens, bathrooms and kids' rooms, and Semi-Gloss for trim, doors and cabinets.
3Do I need a primer?
Usually not. It's self-priming on drywall, plaster, smooth concrete and most wood. Prime bleeding woods, rough masonry and bare metal first.
4Is Regal Select good for bathrooms?
Yes. It's mildew resistant and scrubbable. Use Pearl or Semi-Gloss in bathrooms and run the fan.
5When can I wash the walls?
It's dry to touch in an hour, but give it 2 weeks to fully cure before scrubbing.
6How does Regal Select compare to Aura and ben?
ben is the value option. Regal Select adds stain release and better washability. Aura is Benjamin Moore's top line, with Color Lock technology for the richest colour.
7Can I spray it?
Yes. Use an airless sprayer at 1,500–2,500 psi with a 0.011–0.015 tip, and give spray equipment a final mineral spirits rinse to prevent rust.
