The Fuji Mini-Mite 4 Platinum is a portable 4-stage HVLP spray system for fine finishing. Its turbine builds about 9 psi, plenty for lacquer, stain, polyurethane and most waterborne cabinet coatings, and it weighs just 15 lb. It's a favourite with cabinet painters, finish carpenters, furniture refinishers and serious DIYers who want a professional Fuji system they can carry from job to job. Choose the T75G gravity gun, the T70 bottom-feed gun or the G-XPC side-mount gun.

Key Features & Benefits

  • 4-stage turbine, about 9 psi: enough pressure to atomize most cabinet and trim coatings with little thinning.
  • 15 lb turbine: easy to carry into kitchens, up stairs and in and out of the truck.
  • Heat Dissipation Chamber and Noise Reduction Covers for cooler running and a quieter turbine.
  • Non-bleed gun with stainless steel fluid passages and Fuji's side-mounted fan pattern control.
  • Three gun choices to match the work: gravity, bottom-feed or side-mount.
  • 24-month Fuji limited warranty for the original buyer.

Applications & Recommended Uses

Use the Mini-Mite 4 on kitchen cabinets, vanities, interior doors, trim, mouldings, millwork and furniture. It sprays waterborne and solvent-based lacquers, stains, sanding sealers, varnishes, polyurethanes and cabinet enamels. For walls, ceilings and exteriors, an airless paint sprayer is faster. For thicker coatings, step up to the Mini-Mite 5 Platinum.

Painting walls or a whole house?

HVLP gives you control and little overspray, but it isn't fast on big surfaces. For walls, ceilings and exteriors, an airless paint sprayer is the better tool. For cabinets, pair your Mini-Mite 4 with Envirolak waterborne lacquer, which we tint and match in store.

FAQ

Mini-Mite 4 questions, answered.

Mini-Mite 4 or Mini-Mite 5: which should I buy?

The Mini-Mite 5 adds a fifth stage (about 9.5 psi versus 9 psi) and comes with Fuji's 5 for 5 bonus kit. Both weigh about 15 lb. Choose the Mini-Mite 5 if you spray a lot of thick cabinet enamels and primers. For lacquer, stain, poly and most waterborne coatings, the Mini-Mite 4 has plenty of pressure.

Mini-Mite 4 or Q4 Platinum?

Both have a 4-stage, 9 psi turbine and the same gun choices. The Mini-Mite 4 weighs 15 lb and is built to carry. The Q4 Platinum weighs 22.73 lb but has a quiet case, rated 61 dBA at 15 ft. Choose the Q4 for a shop or occupied homes.

Which gun should I choose: T75G, T70 or G-XPC?

The T75G (600 mL gravity cup) suits most cabinet and furniture work. The T70 (1 L bottom-feed cup) means fewer refills on bigger jobs. The G-XPC (400 mL side-mount cup) gets into tight spots and small parts.

Can it spray waterborne paint and primer?

Yes. It sprays waterborne and solvent-based coatings, including lacquer, stain, polyurethane and cabinet enamel. Check viscosity with the #4 Ford cup and thin only as the coating maker allows. For waterborne paint and primer, Fuji recommends a 2.0 mm air cap, sold separately as a 5100 air cap for T-Series guns.

What filter does it use?

The Mini-Mite 4 uses the dual #7224-2 filters. Check them often and replace them when dirty to protect the motor.

What comes in the box?

The turbine, your choice of gun and cup, a 25 ft Hi-Flex hose with quick-connect and air control valve, a #4 Ford viscosity cup, wrench, cleaning brush and manual.

What warranty does it have?

Fuji Spray gives the original buyer a 24-month limited warranty from the date of purchase against defects in materials and workmanship. See Fuji's warranty terms. Our Rockwood Village spray centre in Mississauga also services and repairs sprayers.
