The Fuji Mini-Mite 5 Platinum is a portable 5-stage HVLP spray system for fine finishing. Its turbine builds about 9.5 psi, enough to atomize thicker coatings such as cabinet enamels, primers and polyurethanes with less thinning, yet the whole turbine weighs just 15.22 lb. It's made for cabinet refinishers, finish carpenters, furniture makers and serious DIYers who carry their sprayer from job to job. Choose the T75G gravity gun, the T70 bottom-feed gun or the G-XPC side-mount gun, and get Fuji's 5 for 5 bonus kit with every new system.

Key Features & Benefits

  • 5-stage turbine, about 9.5 psi: the most pressure in a portable Fuji, so heavier coatings atomize with less thinning.
  • 15.22 lb turbine: about 9 lb lighter than the Q5, so it's easy to carry into kitchens and up stairs.
  • Heat Dissipation Chamber and Noise Reduction Covers for cooler running and a quieter turbine.
  • Non-bleed gun with stainless steel fluid passages and Fuji's side-mounted fan pattern control.
  • 5 for 5 bonus kit with new systems: whip hose, 19-piece cleaning kit, extra filters, wet film gauge and booklet.
  • 24-month Fuji limited warranty for the original buyer.

Applications & Recommended Uses

Use the Mini-Mite 5 on kitchen cabinets, vanities, interior doors, trim, mouldings, millwork and furniture. It sprays waterborne and solvent-based lacquers, stains, sanding sealers, varnishes, polyurethanes, cabinet enamels and primers. For walls, ceilings and exteriors, an airless paint sprayer is faster. Spraying in a shop or an occupied home? The Q5 Platinum has the same motor in a quiet case.

Painting walls or a whole house?

HVLP gives you control and little overspray, but it isn't fast on big surfaces. For walls, ceilings and exteriors, an airless paint sprayer is the better tool. For cabinets, pair your Mini-Mite 5 with Envirolak waterborne lacquer, which we tint and match in store.

FAQ

Mini-Mite 5 questions, answered.

Mini-Mite 5 or Q5 Platinum: which should I buy?

Both have a 5-stage, 9.5 psi turbine, the same gun choices and the 5 for 5 bonus kit. The Mini-Mite 5 weighs 15.22 lb, so it's easier to carry from job to job. The Q5 Platinum weighs 24.06 lb but has a quiet case rated 63 dBA at 15 ft. Choose the Q5 if it stays in a shop or you spray in occupied homes.

Mini-Mite 5 or Mini-Mite 4?

The Mini-Mite 5 has 5 stages and about 9.5 psi. The Mini-Mite 4 has 4 stages and 9 psi. They weigh about the same. The Mini-Mite 5 also comes with the 5 for 5 bonus kit.

Which gun should I choose: T75G, T70 or G-XPC?

The T75G (600 mL gravity cup) suits most cabinet and furniture work. The T70 (1 L bottom-feed cup) means fewer refills on bigger jobs. The G-XPC (400 mL side-mount cup) gets into tight spots and small parts.

Can it spray waterborne paint and primer?

Yes. It sprays waterborne and solvent-based coatings, including lacquer, stain, polyurethane and cabinet enamel. Check viscosity with the #4 Ford cup and thin only as the coating maker allows. For waterborne paint and primer, Fuji recommends a 2.0 mm air cap, sold separately as a 5100 air cap for T-Series guns.

What filter does it use?

The Mini-Mite 5 uses the dual #7224-2 filters. Check them often and replace them when dirty to protect the motor.

What comes in the box?

The turbine, your choice of gun and cup, a 25 ft hose with quick-connect and air control valve, a #4 Ford viscosity cup, wrench, cleaning brush and manual. New systems also include Fuji's 5 for 5 bonus kit: a 6 ft whip hose, a 19-piece cleaning kit, extra turbine filters, a wet film gauge and a booklet.

What warranty does it have?

Fuji Spray gives the original buyer a 24-month limited warranty from the date of purchase against defects in materials and workmanship. See Fuji's warranty terms. Our Rockwood Village spray centre in Mississauga also services and repairs sprayers.

Do you have open-box units?

Sometimes. Open-box (A+) Mini-Mite 5 units are opened but never used, inspected and complete, with the full Fuji warranty, the bonus kit and 35-day returns. See the open-box Mini-Mite 5 for what's in stock.
