- Switch off. Turn the turbine off before you unplug anything.
- Unplug the old cord. Unplug the cord from the wall first, then from the turbine.
- Check the socket. Look over the turbine's cord receptacle. If it's damaged, replace it too.
- Plug in the new cord. Plug the new cord into the turbine first, then into the wall.
- Keep it clear. Run the cord where it won't be stepped on, driven over or sprayed.
- Store it loose. Coil the cord loosely when you pack up so it doesn't kink.
