How to
Change the filters in minutes.
- 1Switch offTurn off and unplug the turbine, and let it cool if you've been spraying.
- 2Find the filtersThe two semi-circle filters sit in the Mini-Mite Platinum case. Note how they're fitted before you take them out.
- 3Remove the old filtersPull them out and check the housing. Wipe away any dust.
- 4Fit the new filtersPress each new filter into place. They're a friction fit, so they should sit snug and flat with no gaps.
- 5Run a quick checkSwitch on and make sure the turbine sounds normal and air flows freely at the gun.
- 6Check them oftenLook at the filters every few jobs and replace them as soon as they look dirty or clogged.

How many 7224-2 filters does a Mini-Mite Platinum take?
Two. Each 7224-2 pack has two filters, so one pack replaces both.
Will it fit my older Mini-Mite?
Only if it's a Mini-Mite Platinum. Older Mini-Mites with square filters, and the Semi-PRO 2 and Hobby-PRO 2, take 4009-2 filters.
Does it fit the Q4 or Q5?
No. The Q Platinum turbines take a single 5029 filter.
Which filter does my Fuji turbine need?
Mini-Mite 3, 4 and 5 Platinum: two 7224-2 filters. Semi-PRO 2, Hobby-PRO 2 and older Mini-Mites: two 4009-2 filters. Q3, Q4 and Q5 Platinum: one 5029 filter. D6: D6 foam, HEPA and motor intake filters.
Why change turbine filters?
The filters stop dust and overspray from being drawn into the motor. A clogged filter starves the turbine of air, so it runs hotter and delivers less to the gun. Clean filters protect the motor and keep the air at the gun clean.
