How to fit the whip hose.
- 1Switch offTurn off the turbine before you change hoses.
- 2Take off the gunUnhook the gun from the end of your 25 ft hose.
- 3Fit the whip hoseConnect the whip hose to the gun end of your 25 ft hose.
- 4Attach the gunConnect the gun to the free end of the whip hose.
- 5Never on the turbineDon't connect the whip hose straight to the turbine. It's an extension for the gun end only.
- 6TestTurn the turbine on and spray a test pass on cardboard.

Whip hose questions, answered.
Where does the whip hose go?
On the gun end of your standard 25 ft hose. Fuji says it should only be connected there, not directly to the turbine.
Why use a whip hose?
It makes the gun lighter and easier to move, and the extra distance from the turbine cools the air at the gun. That helps with fast-drying lacquers and latex.
What's the difference between the 2049F and 2268?
Only the colour. The 2049F is blue and the 2268 is black.
Do new Fuji systems come with one?
Yes, on new 5 and 6-stage systems. It's part of the 5 for 5 kit with the Mini-Mite 5 and Q5 Platinum, and the 6 for 6 kit with the D6.
Which hose does my Fuji turbine need?
For 2, 3 and 4-stage turbines, the 7049 or 9049 Hi-Flex. The Q5 Platinum ships with the 7088 Heavy Duty, and the D6 with the 7073 Super Duty, which fits every Fuji turbine. Stepping up to a 4 or 5-stage turbine and keeping your hose? Add the 7055 heat hose.
