How to rebuild
Rebuild in six steps.
- 1Clean the gun firstFlush it with the right cleaner and disconnect the hose.
- 2Remove the collar and air capUnscrew the collar at the front of the gun and lift off the air cap.
- 3Pull the needleUnscrew the fluid control knob slowly so you don't lose the spring, squeeze the trigger and slide the needle out.
- 4Swap the worn partsReplace the seals, springs, packing and other worn parts with the ones from the kit, one at a time so nothing gets mixed up.
- 5ReassembleOil only the needle shaft, not the tip, then refit the needle, spring, knob, air cap and collar.
- 6Test on cardboardSet the fan and fluid flow and check the pattern is even before you spray the job.

What's in the kit?
A blue collar, 2 needle packings, a spindle valve spring, a needle spring, a blue fluid knob, a needle packing nut, 6 spindle valve seals and a fluid screw nut seal.
Does it include an air cap, needle or nozzle?
No. Those come as a matched 8050 air cap set. Replace them as a set if they're worn or damaged.
Need just one part?
Single G-XPC parts, from the trigger to the gun block, are in G-XPC replacement parts.
How do I keep the gun in good shape?
Clean it right after every use, never soak the whole gun in solvent, and never use a wire brush. Oil only the needle shaft, not the tip.
Can you fix it for me?
