Set-up
Set up the LX-20.
- 1Check your airYour compressor and lines need to deliver 15.2 cfm at 26 psi at the gun. Use clean, dry air.
- 2Fit the regulatorFit the included regulator at the 1/4" air inlet so you can set pressure right at the gun.
- 3Pick your capStart with the 1.4 mm cap. Go to 1.2 mm for thin finishes or 1.7 mm for heavier coatings.
- 4Feed the gunFill the gravity cup, or connect your pressure pot's fluid hose to the pressure-feed gun.
- 5Test the patternSpray a test board. Adjust the side-mounted fan control and the fluid knob until the pattern is even.
- 6Clean right awayFlush the gun with the right cleaner for your waterborne or solvent-based coating.

LX-20 gun questions, answered.
What size compressor do I need?
Fuji recommends 15.2 cfm at 26 psi at the gun inlet. Check your compressor's rated cfm at that pressure, not just its tank size. Not sure? Tell us your compressor and we'll check.
Gravity or pressure feed?
Choose gravity feed for smaller jobs with a cup on top of the gun. Choose pressure feed to run from a pressure pot, like the 5466 2 qt compressor pot, for bigger jobs without refilling a cup.
Which air caps does it come with?
It comes with a 1.4 mm air cap installed, plus extra 1.2 mm and 1.7 mm caps. LX-20 air cap sets from 1.0 to 2.0 mm are sold separately.
What else is in the box?
A pressure regulator for the gun's air inlet, a spray gun wrench and the manual. The gravity version with a cup also includes a 600cc nylon gravity cup.
What coatings can it spray?
With 100% stainless steel fluid passages, the LX-20 handles waterborne and solvent-based coatings, including high-solids. Not sure about yours? Ask us first.
Is there a rebuild kit?
Yes. The 6282 LX-20 rebuild kit has the seals and wear parts to service the gun. For touch-ups on the gravity version, add the 6375 3 oz gravity cup.
What warranty does it have?
Fuji Spray gives the original buyer a 24-month limited warranty from the date of purchase against defects in materials and workmanship. See Fuji's warranty terms, or contact us with questions.
Can you service it for me?
Yes, once it's out of warranty. Our Rockwood Village spray centre in Mississauga repairs spray guns. Contact us to book it in. Still under Fuji's 24-month warranty? Contact Fuji Spray first, because repairs by anyone other than Fuji or its authorized agent void the warranty.
