Why Bath & Spa
A matte finish your bathroom can live with.
Most bathroom paints need a satin or semi-gloss sheen to cope with steam. Bath & Spa gives you the soft, low-glare look of matte, made for humid rooms.
Built for humidity
Formulated for high-humidity rooms like bathrooms, en-suites and saunas, so the matte finish keeps its look through daily showers.
Mildew-resistant coating
Antimicrobial additives inhibit mould and mildew growth on the paint film. Run the fan when you shower for the best results.
Colour that stays
Colour Lock technology means no colour rub-off when you wipe the walls, with high hide for fewer coats. Zero VOC and low odour.
Use it on bathroom walls and ceilings over drywall, plaster, masonry, wood and primed metal. It's a matte finish only, in 946 mL and 3.79 L.

How much do I need?
Enter your bathroom size. We'll work out the cans, using 350 sq ft per 3.79 L, the low end of Benjamin Moore's coverage so you don't run short.
Tile on part of the wall? Set the height to where the tile stops. Benjamin Moore recommends two coats for full colour. Doors count as 20 sq ft and windows as 15 sq ft.

FAQ
Questions, answered.
Why use Bath & Spa instead of regular paint?
Bath & Spa is made for high-humidity rooms. It has a mildew-resistant coating and keeps a matte finish in a steamy bathroom, where you'd normally need a satin or semi-gloss paint.
Is a matte finish OK in a bathroom?
With Bath & Spa, yes. That's what it's designed for. Matte also hides wall imperfections better than shinier finishes.
How much paint do I need for a bathroom?
A 3.79 L can covers 350–400 sq ft per coat. A 5 × 8 ft bathroom with 8 ft ceilings has about 190 sq ft of wall after the door, so two coats take about one 3.79 L can plus a 946 mL. With tile on part of the walls, one 3.79 L is often enough. Use the paint calculator above for your room.
Can I use it on the ceiling?
Yes. The ceiling takes a lot of the steam in a bathroom, so it's a good place for Bath & Spa. Tick "Paint the ceiling too" in the calculator.
Can I use it inside the shower?
It's made for bathroom walls and ceilings that get steam and humidity. It's paint, not a waterproof coating, so it isn't meant for surfaces sprayed directly with water, like inside a shower enclosure. Ask us if you're not sure.
Will it stop mould and mildew?
It provides a mildew-resistant coating that inhibits growth on the paint film. Clean off any existing mildew before painting, and run the bathroom fan when you shower for the best results.
Do I need a primer?
Usually not. It's self-priming on most surfaces. Bare surfaces need two coats. Over heavy surfactant stains or bleeding woods like cedar, prime with Fresh Start High-Hiding All Purpose Primer first.
How soon can I use the shower?
It's dry to the touch and ready for a second coat in 1 hour. Wait at least 24 hours before showering, and 2 weeks before washing the walls. Cool, humid air slows drying.
Can I get it in any colour?
Yes. Search any Benjamin Moore colour, including Color Stories, in the colour box above Add to cart. We can also match colours from other brands. Paint tinted to your colour is made to order, so it's final sale.
Do you ship, or can I pick up?
We ship across Canada, free on most orders over $249. Pick-up is free at our Rockwood Village store, 1292 Eglinton Ave. E, Mississauga, and most orders are ready within 4 hours.
