FrogTape Pro Grade Blue Painter's Tape with PaintBlock

FrogTape Pro Grade is a medium-adhesion blue painter's tape for interior and exterior masking on cured painted walls, trim, glass and metal. PaintBlock technology seals the tape edge to block paint bleed, and it removes cleanly for up to 14 days. Sold in contractor multipacks.

Key Features

  • PaintBlock technology seals the edge for sharp paint lines.
  • 14-day clean removal indoors and out.
  • Quick Stick adhesive is solvent-free and bonds fast.
  • Medium adhesion for cured paint and most hard surfaces.

Where to Use It

Cured painted walls, drywall, plaster, doors, baseboards, window trim, glass, metal, tile, vinyl, sealed countertops and cured caulk. Outdoors: aluminum and vinyl siding, painted wood trim, glass and fixtures. Made for latex paint. Test first on any surface and before using solvent-based coatings. Not for fresh paint or delicate surfaces.

Sizes

  • 24 mm (1"): 6-roll pack
  • 36 mm (1.5"): 4-roll or 6-roll pack
  • 48 mm (2"): 3-roll or 6-roll pack

Pro Grade or Multi-Surface/Delicate?

Pro Grade suits cured paint, trim and exterior masking. Multi-Surface (green) removes cleanly for up to 21 days and is UV-resistant for 7 days in direct sun. Delicate Surface (yellow) is for fresh paint (24 hours or older) and coated wallpaper, with 60-day indoor removal.

How to Use
  1. Clean and dry the surface. It must be free of dust, grease and oil.
  2. Press the tape down firmly along the edge, especially at corners and seams.
  3. Paint with latex paint. Don't overload the brush at the tape edge.
  4. Remove the tape while the paint is still wet, pulling slowly at a low angle.
  5. If the paint has dried, score the edge with a utility knife before pulling.
FAQ
1How long can FrogTape Pro Grade stay on?

Up to 14 days for clean removal, indoors or outdoors. Take it off sooner if you can.

2When is the best time to remove it?

While the paint is still wet. That gives the sharpest line.

3How do I get crisp paint lines?

Apply the tape to a clean, dry surface and press the edge down firmly. PaintBlock seals the edge when it meets latex paint. Remove the tape while the paint is wet.

4Can I use it on freshly painted walls?

Pro Grade is made for cured paint. Wait until the paint has fully cured, and test a small spot first. For fresh paint, use Delicate Surface tape, which is rated for paint 24 hours or older.

5Can I use it outdoors?

Yes, on surfaces such as aluminum and vinyl siding, painted wood trim, glass and metal, with clean removal for up to 14 days. FrogTape doesn't publish a UV rating for Pro Grade, so remove it promptly. Multi-Surface tape is rated UV-resistant for 7 days in direct sun.

6Which width should I choose?

24 mm suits narrow trim edges and detail work. 36 mm is a good all-round width for baseboards and window trim. 48 mm covers wider edges and speeds up long straight runs.

7Does it work with oil-based paint?

FrogTape is designed for latex paint. Test it on a hidden spot before using solvent-based coatings.
