Dumond Watch Dog Porous Surface Graffiti Remover
Watch Dog Porous is a non-drip, deep-penetrating gel that removes graffiti from unpainted porous masonry. Dumond says it dissolves graffiti in 15 to 30 minutes, often with no scrubbing. You apply it, let it sit and rinse it off. It is used on aerosol paint, crayon, markers and unwanted coatings. It is also used on historic stone.

Where to Use It
Unpainted concrete, cement, stucco, brick, bare wood, asphalt, pavers, cinderblock, granite, mortar and marble. Not for aluminum, plexiglass, fibreglass, most plastics, brownstone, limestone, plywood, drywall, or painted or stained surfaces. Always test a small area first. Best used at 4.4–32.2 °C.

1.9 L (1/2 gallon). Do not let it dry on the surface.

Porous or All Purpose?
Choose Watch Dog Porous for unpainted brick, concrete and stone. For sealed, non-porous surfaces such as lockers and cabinets, use Watch Dog All Purpose. Use Porous on masonry.

Application Guide
- Read the label and SDS. Put on gloves, clothing and eye and face protection.
- Test a small hidden area to check the result and the dwell time.
- Check the weather. Work between 4.4 and 32.2 °C. It is less effective below 4.4 °C, so wait for a milder day in spring or fall.
- Apply liberally with a brush or roller to a clean, dry, unpainted surface.
- Let it dwell 15 to 30 minutes, or longer if your test shows it is needed. Do not let it dry. Agitate with a nylon brush if needed.
- Rinse with water and a pressure washer until all product and residue are gone.
FAQ
1How much Watch Dog Porous do I need?
Coverage is 100–150 sq ft per gallon, so the 1.9 L size covers about 50–75 sq ft. A 5 ft x 10 ft tag is 50 sq ft, which is about one container.
2How long does it take to work?
Dumond says graffiti dissolves in 15 to 30 minutes. The data sheet says to allow up to 30 minutes or more, based on test results.
3Will it work on painted brick or walls?
No. It is for unpainted porous masonry. It is not for painted or stained surfaces, plywood or drywall. Always test first.
4Can I use it on limestone or brownstone?
No. Dumond lists brownstone and limestone as not recommended. It does list marble, granite and mortar.
5Is it safe to handle?
It is a corrosive product. Dumond says it causes severe skin burns and eye damage and is harmful if inhaled or swallowed. Use protective gear and follow the label and Safety Data Sheet.
6Can I use it in cold weather?
It works best between 4.4 and 32.2 °C (40–90 °F) and is less effective below 4.4 °C. Wait for a milder day in a Canadian fall or spring.

Rinse with water using a pressure washer so no product or residue stays on the masonry. Don't let it dry before rinsing.
