Graco FAQ
1Which Graco sprayer is best for painting a house?
A plug-in airless sprayer. The 390 PC is rated for up to 50 gallons per week and suits repaints and renovations. For bigger jobs or heavier coatings, the Ultra 490 XT has more flow (0.7 gpm) and takes tips up to 0.025 in.
2Cordless or plug-in: which should I choose?
3Which spray tip should I use?
Check the paint label first. In a Graco tip number, the first digit doubled is the fan width in inches and the last two digits are the opening in thousandths of an inch. A 517 tip suits latex on walls. Smaller tips, such as a 310 to 413, suit trim and cabinets. Check the largest tip your sprayer accepts.
4What warranty does Graco give?
Graco's manuals state 12 months from the date of sale against defects in materials and workmanship. Coverage can differ by product, so check the product page or contact us for the terms that apply.
5Should I repair the pump or replace the sprayer?
If the packings are worn and the rod and cylinder are in good shape, a pump packing repair kit is enough. If the rod or cylinder is scored or damaged, replace the pump. Check your pump's repair manual, or contact us with your model.
6What does Open Box A+ mean?
A+ open-box units are like new and come with the full manufacturer's warranty. Some Graco sprayers are offered as Open Box A+ on their product page.
7Can you help with parts or service questions?
Yes. Contact us with your sprayer model and, if you have it, the pump or part number. We'll help you find the right tip, hose, filter or repair kit.
