High humidity or temperatures below 50°F (10°C) may prolong drying and recoating times.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eCLEANUP\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eClean brushes and tools with mineral spirits.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eDIRECTIONS FOR INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR USE FLOOD PENETROL Oil-Based Paint Additive\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAlways mix a small amount of PENETROL with the paint you are using to determine compatibility.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch4\u003eAdding to Oil or Alkyd-Based Paint or Primers:\u003c\/h4\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eStir and mix oil or alkyd-based paint thoroughly.  As paint begins to set up too fast or “drag”, stir in PENETROL.  Start with approximately one pint (473 mL) PENETROL per gallon (3.78 Liters) of paint.  If paint is thick, or in extreme hot or cold temperatures, more PENETROL may be added, up to 2.5 pints (1.18 Liters) per gallon (3.78 Liters) of paint.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch4\u003eFaux Finishing:\u003c\/h4\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePENETROL, mixed directly into oil or alkyd-based paint, will improve the brushability of your paint and flow and leveling of the base coat.  PENETROL keeps paint from drying too fast thus increasing the working time of your paint and glazes.  Using an empty container or dispensable cup as a measuring device, mix 3 volumes of oil or alkyd-based paint to 1 volume of PENETROL.  The more PENETROL you add to the mixture (glaze) the more open time you will have and the more translucent the finish.  Do not add too much conditioner for vertical surfaces as the technique may cause the paint to sag or vanish.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch4\u003eConditioning Bare or Rusted Metal:\u003c\/h4\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eRemove loose rust, excess dirt, oil and grease.  Be sure surface is dry.  Saturate the metal with PENETROL.
